Austin Central is located in Austin, Texas. The hotel is situated close to area attractions like the University of Austin Campus, the Texas state capital, 6th street, Austin Music Hall, Dell Diamond baseball field, Midnight Rodeo, and Austin International Airport. Hotel amenities include an indoor pool, hot tub, 24-hour fitness center, laundry service, airport shuttle, parking and a 24-hour business center. The hotel guest rooms feature cable TV, telephone, Internet, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, iron/ironing board and a hair dryer.
Wows and Woes
The Embassy Suites Austin Central hotel offers complimentary parking, complimentary breakfast, and complimentary cocktails and other beverages. However, the hotel is quite noisy with traffic noise leaking into the inside. Also, the hotel is a little old and smells musty and if you are not a Hilton Hotel member you have to pay to access the Internet.
Insider Tips
The hotel's pool and hot tub stay open until midnight. But, from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. it is for adults only.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
I set my alarm every night so that I would not sleep in and miss the free breakfast. At breakfast I chatted with other hotel guests over my omelet and coffee and we even made plans with another couple to go out to 6th Street that night.
Bottom Line
The Embassy Suites in Austin Center is located downtown and is close to many Austin area attractions and offers a great value for the money.
