Embassy Suites-Historic Charleston stands majestic among the plantation houses and manors that appoint this charming Southern city. Located at the former site of The Citadel Military College, its castle-like facade is more than 200 years old, having once served as the city's fortress. Though steeped in local history, there's nothing archaic about the luxurious amenities that make this all-suites Embassy hotel appealing to the modern traveler.
Wows and Woes
Wows: This hotel is located within a historic landmark. A full-service, complimentary breakfast is served each morning. Accommodations feature spacious two-room suites.
Woes: This hotel does not offer an on-site dinner option. The heart of the historic district is several blocks away. The breakfast room is small and often crowded.

Check out the evening "Manager's Reception" featuring complimentary eats and drinks. This is one of the few Historic Charleston hotels to offer a swimming pool and hot tub. If you're not up to walking several blocks to heart of the historic district, hire a bicycle rickshaw at the concierge desk to take you where you want to go.

Embassy's Famous Asparagus Omelet
Embassy Suites-Historic Charleston is one of the few reputable hotel brands to offer a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast. I still dream about the luscious asparagus and Jack cheese omelet I had there, punctuated with a hint of fresh dill. It was the best omelet I ever had!

Embassy Suites-Historic Charleston is a destination in and of itself, offering guests a comfortable and accommodating lodging experience steeped in local history.
