Brooklyn Museum
The Brooklyn Museum is one of the United States' biggest art museums. The permanent collection consists of over one million pieces. The collection represents almost every culture on the planet. Some types of things you will see displayed include Spanish colonial art, European sculptures and paintings, and ancient Egyptian artifacts. There is also a vast array of Oceanic, African and New World artwork available at the museum.

Empire State Building
The Empire State Building is located in midtown Manhattan and is one of New York City's most recognizable landmarks. It is also one of its most popular tourist attractions. There is an observatory located on the eighty-sixth floor of the building which offers a stunning panoramic viewpoint of New York City and surrounding areas. This is the best way to get a beautiful, breathtaking bird's eye view perspective of this city. It is also one of the highest buildings in the United States.

Chrysler Building
The Chrysler Building is another one of New York City's most impressive architectural achievements. The style of the building is Art Deco, and it was, for a brief moment in time, the tallest building on the planet. Constructed back in 1929, the Chrysler Building (located in the midst of bustling midtown Manhattan) is one of the most notable symbols of New York City.

New York Public Library
The New York Public Library was designed by the well known architects, Carrere and Hastings. This impressive library is vast and has a charming Beaux Arts style. In existence since 1911, this library is one of the largest in the world. The primary reading room of the library spans two city blocks. The periodicals room consists of over ten thousand magazines. This is a wonderful place to browse while alone in New York City.
