Things to Do for Spring Break in South Jersey
South Jersey has a variety of attractions for young college students who are looking for spring break entertainment. There is still plenty of fun to be had by the shore or even in places in South Jersey that aren't bordered by water. You'll also save some money on travel and accommodations when compared to other spring break destinations, which means more money left over for clubbing at South Jersey's popular party strips.
Cape May
When you're planning a South Jersey spring break, definitely think about going to Cape May. Cape May is a pretty town located at the lowest tip of New Jersey. The area is more known for inns and bed and breakfasts than for regular hotels. You can likely get a full, hearty breakfast before heading out for a long day (and night) of spring break partying. There are plenty of bars and taverns to visit. Cape May is right on the water, so all you have to do is take a walk to the beach from your hotel. You can also get on a ferry and take a cool boat trip from the tip of Cape May to the northernmost tip of Delaware (Lewes) and back. Wildwood Waterpark is nearby for cooling off.
South Jersey Shore
The Jersey shore is notorious for its beaches, crazy parties and wild clubs. You can get a hotel, but most people choose to rent a house on the shore with group of friends for maximum fun. When you get bored of the beaches and Jerseyites, you can take about an hour trip down to Philly to party in Olde City. Penn's Landing is also a great tourist attraction with numerous fairs happening in the spring. Also, many people don't realize that Atlantic City is just a short drive from most South Jersey shore areas. Do some gambling, party at Atlantic City clubs and even enjoy the beach on the world famous Atlantic City boardwalk.
Great Adventure
Whenever Jersey residents think of fun in the warm weather months, they think of Six Flags Great Adventure. Great Adventure is located on exit 7A of the New Jersey Turnpike. Six Flags has rides, concerts and other entertaining events for you to enjoy on your spring break. Opening day is in early April and you can even get a season pass to go back and forth to the park the entire time you're on spring break.
