Holiday Train Show at the NY Botanical Garden
Visitors will see over 140 well-known New York buildings, such as the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building and the Guggenheim, as well as bridges reconstructed as topiary-like replicas and model trains traveling around them. The replica structures are made of various plants, twigs, vines, leaves and berries. Most of the replicas are lighted from the inside and create an illuminated village that is magical for children and adults. Visitors to the exhibit should anticipate spending about an hour to view everything. The Holiday Train Show is housed in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, and will run throughout the winter season.
