If you are done trying your luck at the casinos, now is the time to head over to some of the other attractions in Atlantic City. Whether you want to have some laughs, explore the city's history or go shopping, Atlantic City probably has activities that will pique your interest.
Enjoy the Boardwalk

If you are lucky to be in Atlantic City in spring or summer, one of the most interesting things that you can do is walk along the ocean. You can always sit down on the sand or take a dip in the water if you want, but you'll have just as much fun shopping at the waterfront stores, joining a Boardwalk walking tour, stopping at the Atlantic City Art Center for an evening performance to remember, or jumping into one of the old-fashioned rides at Steel Pier, the boardwalk amusement park.

Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum

The famous museum has a branch right on the boardwalk. Perfect for visitors of any age, the museum features items like the Fiji Island mermaid, scale models of antique ships created with matchsticks (one using 27,000 matches) and a lock of George Washington's hair. The building itself is worth seeing too, as it is designed to look like it's falling down after being hit by a wrecking ball.

Absecon Lighthouse

While it may seem obvious to find a lighthouse on a waterfront town, the truth is that few tourists know that there is one in Atlantic City. The 171-foot-tall structure is the fifth tallest in the United States and is open to visitors year-round. The lighthouse houses a small museum and special events are held here throughout the year, including a summer camp and rotating memorabilia exhibits. The lighthouse is located in the northern tip of the boardwalk, overlooking Absecon Inlet.
