Disneyland is a world unto itself. Created as a complete experience, it's more than an amusement park with rides---it's a complete imagining of a magical world that all families can enjoy. There are rides, attractions, shows and experiences designed to intrigue and delight all ages, from toddlers to great-grandparents.
Getting In
Disneyland offers several different ticket options. Locals can purchase an unlimited annual pass. For those visiting from out of town, park hopper passes, that allow access to both Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure are available for three, four, five or six days. The days don't need to be used in one trip, but they must be used within a year of the ticket's activation. For those who simply wish to go to Disneyland for the day, you can buy a ticket to access Disneyland itself.
Eating
Disneyland offers mainly fast food, such as corn dogs, hamburgers and burritos. It has upgraded its dining options to offer more healthy food; snack options include both fresh fruit and fruit salad. For a quieter, sit-down meal with table-side service, the Blue Bayou in New Orleans Square takes reservations, but they book quickly, so make this a priority when you enter the park.
Stroller Rental
You can rent strollers in two places in the park: at the main gates as you first enter and in Tomorrowland. In Tomorrowland, as you're exiting the Star Tours ride, the back of the shop stores strollers, just request one at the cash register. Rentals are good for the day of your trip only. The strollers are similar to jogging strollers and are not suitable for infants under six weeks. Look for label with your name on the top when picking the stroller up after a ride as they are identical except for the label.
Rides
There are 55 attractions, though not all of these are considered rides by most visitors. In general, most visitors count 36 rides from Disney's official list. Fantasyland contains most of the younger children's rides, such as Peter Pan, Snow White and Dumbo. Tomorrowland features many of the thrill rides, such as Space Mountain and Star Tours.
Shows
Some shows are ongoing, such as Tinker Bell's Pixie Forest near Sleeping Beauty's castle and the Princess Fantasy Fair near It's a Small World. Others occur at set times, such as Fantasmic and the Jedi Training Academy. Show times are printed on the pamphlet you pick up as you enter the park.
