Magic Kingdom at night.
Disney's Magic Kingdom is the most recognized and attended of Disney's four theme parks. It is located in
Orlando, Florida and first opened October 1st, 1971. The park was referred to as Magic Kingdom so that visitors didn't confuse it with Disneyland which is located in California. Because Disneyland was nicknamed "The happiest place on Earth" the Magic Kingdom was nicknamed "The most magical place on earth." The two parks are unique and each contain their own special features.
Features
Cinderella's castle.
The first feature that visitors spot when visiting Magic Kingdom is Cinderella's Castle. This castle is centered directly in the middle of Magic Kingdom and is surrounded by roads that take you to seven fanciful lands. There is Main St. USA, Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, Liberty Square, Tommorowland, and Mickey's Toon Town. Magic Kingdom also offers several restaurants. You can grab a quick bite to eat at Pinocchio Village Haus or sit down with Cinderella for breakfast at Cinderella's Royal table. All of the rides found at the Magic Kingdom have to do with one of Disney's famous movies. You can ride Aladdin's magic carpet, climb Swiss Family Robinson's Tree House, and travel through pirate caves on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
Pros and Cons

Disney's guest services is one of the best. Anyone with a disability, including children, will be given a pass to get on the rides without having to wait in line. If you have any type of special need, guest services will see that you are taken care of. Magic Kingdom's park crew are also extremely efficient. They have radios that alert them when rain or a storm is approaching. They alert guests and quickly clean up after the rain ends (Florida experiences many rain showers that last for about 10 to 15 minutes). One con is that the park is so large you barely have time to visit all seven lands. Slow walkers should set aside two days to visit this park. The other con is the price of the tickets. It is extremely expensive per person, but well worth every penny.
Bottom Line

Disney's Magic Kingdom is a must see for both the young and the old. Disney's many features far outweigh any cons. Because Disney's Magic Kingdom is set up to accommodate any individual with a disability, the staff goes out of their way to make each person's time in the park pleasurable. The park is also easy to navigate with the map you are provided at the ticket counter. Make sure to get one as you enter as it will also list the information for any show times and events during the day. You are guaranteed an experience you will never forget.
