Disney's Grand Floridian Resort
The Walt Disney World
resort hosts 18 hotels ranging from value
resorts to deluxe hotels. Like Disney's theme park attractions, each themed hotel provides rich detail and a comfortable environment. From the Grand Floridian Resort, a deluxe resort with a Victorian theme, to the less expensive Pop Century value resort, Disney's hotels offer something for each taste and budget.
Wows and Woes
Big Wheel at Disney's Pop Century Resort
The hotels adjacent to Disney's Magic Kingdom provide an excellent view of Cinderella's Castle as well as access to the monorail system that provides transportation to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
When using the free bus at the value resorts (Pop Century and All Star Resorts), be prepared for long lines when leaving the hotel in the morning and returning at night. Also, wireless Internet at all resorts is $10 per day.
Insider Tips
Mints on bed
One of the advantages of staying on Disney property is the ability to shop and drop your items to be delivered later to your hotel room. Buy your item at the shop you're visiting, inform the clerk that you need to have it delivered to your hotel room and she will do the rest. Items are delivered to your room by noon the following day.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
Lobby of the Grand Floridian Hotel
My "wow" moment was in the wee hours of the morning at the Grand Floridian Resort when I made my way to the resort's 24-hour counter service restaurant, Gasparilla Grill and Games. Being able to walk from my hotel room at 2 in the morning and see Cinderella's Castle in the distance was a moment that made me feel like a child all over again.
Bottom Line

Disney hotels allow you to immerse yourself in the Disney experience. The key to satisfaction at Disney hotels is choosing one that fits both your budget and your personality.
