North Carolina has dozens of year-round venues for destination weddings. Whether you're looking to exchange vows among golden leaves in fall, dustings of snow on the Blue Ridge in winter, azalea blooms in spring or sun-kissed
beaches in summer, you'll find your dream wedding in this growing state.
Asheville
A bustling town with an artsy vibe, Asheville is the destination for golf, spas and bar hopping, sufficient for any last-minute bachelorette parties. Best of all is the town's main attraction, Biltmore Estate, once the residence of the Vanderbilt family. Make this your wedding destination and say your vows at one of Biltmore's many garden and terrace locations with sweeping views, or in the estate's cozy wine cellar in winter.
Outer Banks
North Carolina's most popular beach destination, the wild coast of the Outer Banks is the perfect wedding destination. Guests can enjoy a beach vacation with all the amenities. Afraid of a storm ruining your vows? Take the ceremony "under the sea" by hosting your reception at the North Carolina Aquarium instead.
Highlands
One of North Carolina's most picturesque mountain towns, Highlands has lots to offer wedding parties. Quaint shops, hiking, rafting and simply enjoying the views will pack your guests' schedules. One of North Carolina's most beautiful wedding venues, the Old Edwards Inn & Spa provides ceremony and reception sites for up to 200 guests.
Concord
Racing fans will enjoy a destination in Concord, celebrating at The Speedway Club overlooking Lowe's Motor Speedway. Before or after the event, there's outlet shopping and a classic car museum in town and Charlotte, North Carolina's largest city, is just around the corner.
Charlotte
With the growing city's exciting opportunities, from professional sports to shopping and dining to museums, there's plenty to fill a weekend in the Queen City. Choose from a variety of chic downtown hotels for fantastic city views, send the wedding party through town on the trolley and party to your heart's content.
