Hilton Head, South Carolina is a popular vacation destination featuring many
beaches and golf courses. There is much fun to be had outdoors in Hilton Head, but finding activities to occupy your family on a rainy day can always be a challenge. It is a good idea to have a list of indoor activities at your fingertips so you can quickly change your plans if the weather does not cooperate while you are vacationing.
The Sandbox
The Sandbox is an interactive museum designed for children age 8 and under. The museum's exhibits allow children to climb a wall, explore international cooking, play musical instruments, paint, track dinosaurs and sit in an airplane cockpit. All exhibits are hands-on and children are encouraged to touch, play and interact with the displays. Arrive early on rainy days to avoid a wait.

All About Me is a spa offering services that include massages, mud wraps, tanning and salt glow treatments. In addition, All About Me is a full service salon offering waxing, manicures, pedicures, acrylic nails as well as a full accompaniment of hair cutting and coloring services.

Island Winery
Doctor Georgene and her husband Loren Mortimer own and operate the Island Winery. The winery offers a variety of events throughout the year. In addition to special events, the winery hosts a wine and cheese happy hour at 4 p.m. daily Monday through Thursday. Happy hour lasts about two hours and includes complimentary wine sampling and appetizers.

Island Playground
Island Playground is an indoor playground featuring inflatable playground equipment. At Island Playground, parents may join their children on the inflatable playground or relax in the comfortable seating area which features a plasma television, plenty of reading material and free Wi-Fi access. There is no time limit for playing at the Island Playground, but you will be required to wear socks so make sure to wear or bring some.
