Review of the Crowne Plaza Hotel North Dallas-Addison
The Crowne Plaza Hotel North
Dallas-Addison has 429 guest rooms and 22 suites. Located in the North Dallas-Addison, Texas, business district, this hotel caters mostly to businesspeople and has more than 26,000 square feet of meeting space. The public areas are the highlight of this hotel with an open, airy bar and pleasant pool area.
Wows and Woes
Wows:
The hotel is situated close to 170 restaurants. Two miles away is Galleria Dallas, the triple-decker mall with an ice skating rink.
Woes:
The oversized furniture makes rooms feel cramped. The walls are thin, as well. You can hear everything outside your door and in the adjacent rooms.
Insider Tips
Bring a Wi-Fi-equipped laptop, if you can. Internet access is free in all public areas and it's far more reliable than the computers in the business center which can be a bit flaky. Concierge services are reliable, and if you'll need a ride from one of the hotel shuttles, make sure you schedule your ride in advance.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
With only one bartender on duty every night, things could get very busy in the lounge. Regardless of how her night was going, the bartender made it a point to learn the names of all my co-workers and make sure we were happy, well fed and hydrated.
Bottom Line
At $140 a night, you might expect a quieter experience. But for a four-star hotel in that location, the price is very competitive.
