The dining area of The Embassy Suites New Orleans - Convention Center provides a convenient gathering spot for the trademark made-to-order breakfast. But dine early to beat the crowd.
The Embassy Suites New Orleans - Convention Center is situated in the Crescent City's Warehouse Arts district, a hip and trendy area filled with art galleries and walkable streets. Across the street sits the New Orleans Morial Convention Center, and the New Orleans Riverwalk is also just steps from the hotel entrance. Families and business travelers alike stay here because of the convenience, and they return for the long list of amenities.
Wows and Woes

A complimentary, made-to-order breakfast helps budget-minded travelers, but the dining area can get crowded and loud. The nightly manager's reception is like a happy hour for the entire family. While adults enjoy their beverages, children are invited to enjoy soft drinks and bar snacks.

Insider Tips

Don't let the map fool you. Embassy Suites may be in the Warehouse Arts district, but the walk to the French Quarter is manageable. Take a taxi at night, but walk from the hotel down the Riverwalk and to the Aquarium of the Americas before heading into the French Quarter. You'll catch a view of boats floating along the Mississippi River and can take advantage of riverboat tours.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

We traveled as a family of six and needed a hotel within easy walking distance of local attractions, but we were concerned about safety. The Warehouse Arts district surrounding the Embassy Suites was well-lighted and well-populated with visitors. Our room overlooked Julia Street and gave us a view of classic New Orleans architecture and easy access to an art crawl that showcased the art galleries in the area.

Bottom Line

The Warehouse Arts District is just far away enough from the French Quarter to be somewhat quieter and to attract a tamer crowd.
