Circus Circus is a casino on the north end of the Strip in
Las Vegas that features a circus theme, which has made it popular for families with kids in tow. The casino is one of the older ones in Las Vegas, having been built in 1968.
Significance
Circus Circus is one of the few family friendly casino destinations still remaining in Las Vegas, with a covered theme park called Adventuredome that features a number of rides including a roller coaster and other games such as miniature golf. The casino is also recreational-vehicle traveler friendly with an RV park beside it.
Features
The casino has the standard gambling games, such as slots, blackjack and craps. It also has a small poker room in the front. The dining is among the cheapest on the Strip, with affordable restaurants and a buffet. The hotel has nearly 4,000 rooms.
Geography
Circus Circus is on the north end of the Strip, meaning it is a couple of miles away from the heart of the modern Las Vegas action toward the middle and southern end of the Strip.
Considerations
The hotel is one of the best values in town for the price, with generally affordable rates for a Strip property. In addition to the theme park, the casino features a large arcade for children to enjoy.
Fun Fact
Trapeze acts are performed on a level above the casino and are viewable from the casino floor every hour.
