Shippensburg boasts Chinese restaurants to please residents and visitors alike.
Shippensburg is a small town in south central Pennyslvania. It is the oldest community in the Cumberland Valley and was originally settled by Scottish and Irish immigrants at the beginning of the 18th century. The town was officially incorporated as a borough of the state a hundred years later. Historically the city has been a factory town. Today it is still home of the Beistle Company, the country's largest party decorations manufacturer. Despite its small size, Shippensburg contains many restaurants, including those serving Chinese cuisine.
Great Wall Restaurant
Great Wall Restaurant is a buffet-style restaurant that serves all its specialties on a large smörgåsbord. Common dishes including chicken or beef with broccoli, General Tso's chicken, sweet and sour chicken and lo mein noodle dishes are available. The buffet also serves Japanese-style sushi and crab legs. Chinese appetizers, such as egg rolls and soups, are also available, as are common side-dishes including both fried rice and steamed rice. The restaurant opens seven days a week at 11 a.m. and closes at 10:30 p.m. on weeknights and 11 p.m. on weekends.

China Inn
China Inn is a small restaurant that serves traditional Chinese cuisine off its menu. There is no buffet. Popular items include sweet and sour pork or chicken, lo mein noodles, the house special chicken and beef with broccoli. Lunch specials are provided for a quick and inexpensive meal in the middle of the day. They include a smaller lunch-sized portion of any dish on the menu and are served with soup or fried rice. China Inn is open seven days a week at 11 am and closes nightly at 10:30 pm.

China House
China House is one of the area's oldest Chinese restaurants and serves a variety of Chinese cuisine. It offers daily specials in addition to its regular menu. There is no buffet. Some of the restaurant's most popular dishes include orange beef, beef chow mein, pepper steak and sweet and sour beef. Most meals are served with soup. The restaurant is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Always ask about their specials, either at lunch or for dinner.
