Children's Activities in NYC
In a city filled with cultural activities and bright lights you may feel like there is nothing there to keep the kids busy and smiling. There are in fact numerous opportunities for fun and learning for kids of all ages. If you are spending some time in the Big Apple and want to make some memories for your children as well, here are some spots to check out.
A Day at Central Park
There are about six miles of play opportunities for kids of all ages in New York's famous Central Park. There's plenty of room to run and play frisbee or ride a bike, not to mention the historic five acre Central Park Zoo. The Tisch Children's Zoo is right across the road and offers little ones the chance to get hands-on with the animals. Plenty to do for a day so bring a picnic lunch and relax in Central Park.

Metropolitan Museum of Art
Although it may not have been first on your list, it should be. With exhibits like the Egyptian Wing and it's walk through temple and the Arms and Armor section that will have your child fantasizing about ancient battles, this is a great chance to introduce your kids to the magic of a museum. There is also a baseball card collection on display and of course a snack bar and cafe, so spend some time and enjoy. Bonus: You can walk there during your Central Park adventure as it's in the area.

Indoors, clean and friendly, this is a great way to spend a rainy or winter day with your toddler. Toddler Adventure Center is focused on play movement, with a play area filled with opportunities to crawl, climb and roll. Limited hours and a small environment means planning for this ahead of time, but still a perfect opportunity during inclement weather.
