Review of the Holiday Inn Express Century City Hotel in Los Angeles

Centrally located in the heart of Los Angeles, California, the Holiday Inn Express Century City is perfect for business or pleasure. The boutique hotel is within close proximity to Century Plaza Mall, and a grocery store is right across the street. The hotel has a variety of available room choices ranging from standard rooms to loft-style suites. Room features include microwave ovens, refrigerators and whirlpool bathtubs.
Wows and Woes

Hotel guests are provided complimentary breakfast every morning. The breakfast is pretty decent and consists of eggs, muffins and cinnamon rolls, among other items.

If you want to lie out by the pool, forget about it. This hotel does not have a pool. Also, there is the mandatory valet parking. The charge for parking at this Holiday Inn Express is horribly expensive.

Insider Tips

If you are a smoker you may have a problem with this hotel. A majority of the rooms are nonsmoking. If you do not secure a smoking room in advance, you just may have to stay at one of the nearby hotels.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

I had a hard time sleeping my first night at this Holiday Inn Express because of the street traffic on Olympic Boulevard. I complained to the front desk the next morning and was moved to a different room. My new room was quiet. Overall I found this property to be quite enjoyable.

Bottom Line

This is a great hotel that offers large rooms, good service and affordable prices. This place is worth the money you spend.
