Review of The Caravelle Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC

The Caravelle resort offers many different types of rooms for families of all sizes. They have a fun water play area for kids, a large outdoor and indoor pool, a restaurant, a poolside bar and ice cream shop. This oceanfront hotel is located on the North side of Myrtle beach on a quiet section of the strip. It offers large rooms that are beautifully decorated. Other amenities include a supervised children's program and an arcade.
Wows and Woes

Wows: We were impressed at the size of our room. We prepared many meals inside the kitchen which saved us lots of money in the long run. The children's activities were the best with the staff members making our children feel welcomed.

Woes: The windows in our room were a little dusty. It was a bit noisy from the pool just outside our room.

Insider Tips

Request a room on the seventh floor away from the entrance to the pool. The convenience of being near the indoor pool is fantastic especially at night or on rainy days. If you forget something from home, ask at the front desk. Chances are they will either have it or will know where you can get it.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

My most memorable moment at the Caravelle Resort was when it was storming outside and the kids were disappointed that they could not go on the beach. We all got dressed in our bathing suits and went into the indoor pool. We played Marco Polo for hours. Then we got dressed and had dinner in our room a nice spaghetti and meatball dinner.

Bottom Line

This is a great hotel for budget minded families who are looking to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach.
