Where Can I Eat at Walt Disney World?
There's more to Disney World than just fast food. While visitors can easily get a bite at any of the moving carts or open counters throughout the park, it's also worth it to look into sit-down options. Restaurants inside Walt Disney World are usually themed, so they provide an opportunity to enjoy a meal without losing the magic of the park.
Character Dining Spots
If you don't mind dropping a fixed amount for a meal, Disney World offers pre-set breakfasts, lunches and dinners at certain spots throughout the park. Some places offer a prix fixe menu, while others offer a la carte eating. At those times, visitors can sit down for a meal and expect different characters to drop by the table one by one for a quick chat, autographs and photos. Magic Kingdom offers four of these events: Cinderella's Once Upon a Time Breakfast, A Fairytale Lunch, Winnie the Pooh: A Buffet With Character and Goofy's Liberate Your Appetite Character Dinner. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe
For a themed experience at lower prices, try this stop in the Tomorrowland section of the Magic Kingdom. Decorated to look like a futuristic diner, the cafe seems more like a 1950s representation of a sci-fi movie, which makes it all the more charming. Visitors can enjoy traditional Americana food, such as cheesesteak sandwiches, potato croquettes, chili cheese fries and cheesecake. Kids' menus are also available. Visitors should keep in mind that this is a counter service with no waitresses.
Casey's Corner
Disney's homage to baseball, this small, casual restaurant is located on Main Street and offers traditional foods you would find at a stadium, such as corn dogs, chili and a Grand Slam all-beef dish with a side of fries. A piano player often performs live during the day, and seating is available indoors. This is also one of the few places in Disney World where visitors can buy a glass of milk to go along with their meals.
