What Tourist Attraction Can Be Found in Anaheim, California?
Opened in 1955, Walt Disney's dream of the "Happiest Place on Earth" has blossomed into the Disneyland
resort, which is
Anaheim's major tourist draw. This multi-day destination encompasses two theme parks, a shopping district and three hotels.
vacations here are not inexpensive: two-day park passes start at $143 for adults not including accommodations or food.

The area's original theme park encompasses eight themed lands that start in the imagination of Fantasyland and continues to the high-tech future in Tomorrowland. Toddlers can activate funny sounds at Mickey's house, teens can paddle furiously in actual canoes, mom and dad can thrill to the delights of Pirates of the Caribbean, and the grandparents can catch a show at the Golden Horseshoe Saloon.

California Adventure
Opened in 2001, this park concentrates on the wonders of the Golden State from the movie studios of Hollywood to the vineyards of Napa Valley and from the traditional fair rides of a coastal amusement park to the Golden Gate Bridge. You can soar over landscapes in a glider, plummet down the elevator shaft of a haunted hotel, or savor fresh delicacies at a tortilla factory. Note that this theme park is slowly being transformed into a different area that, as of June 2009, is as yet unnamed.

(You can bring down the cost with multi-day ticket/hotel packages.) You'll bask in the Arts-and-Crafts-inspired architecture of thick wooden beams, floor-to-ceiling fireplaces and stained-glass lamps.
