Mesa Verde National Park in southwest Colorado is full of ancient Pueblo ruins, beautiful cliffs and bluffs, and springs. You can get to Mesa Verde National Park from the cities of Cortez or Durango. The park is open year-round. However, camping runs from early May to October.

Step 1
Reserve a campsite at the Morefield Campground by calling 800-449-2288. Reserving a campsite will guarantee you have a place to camp before arriving at the park.
Step 2
Pay the required fees. Fees can be paid over the phone while making reservations or at the park entrance.
Step 3
Locate your campsite and set up camp. Once your reservation has been made and the fees have been paid, you are free to visit Mesa Verde National Park and locate your campsite. At the park entrance, maps will be provided by park rangers who can tell you where to go.
