Discovery Science Center

Who said learning can't be fun? The Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana has over 120 hands-on exhibits in all areas of science for kids to enjoy. From studying the origins of fossils, to learning about earthquakes in the Quake Zone, to the science of hockey, there are tons of things to interest every child. There's also a 4D theater, digital lab and stadium where kids can play sports and learn about the how and why of every movement and action in the process. It's a fun-filled place sure to delight and educate your little one.

Aquarium of the Pacific

At the Aquarium of the Pacific, you can view over 500 species of ocean animals in 19 different habitats. Kids will love the massive aquariums and watching the sea lion and otter shows. Visit the Shark Lagoon, where you can interact with sharks and other underwater critters. Children will be amazed at the sharks, rays and sea anemones. There's a 3D theater where you can enjoy an animated film about sea life and the creatures who live underwater. It's filled with music, humor and fun aimed at younger children.

Legoland

At Legoland there are no height restrictions or age requirements, so the whole family can participate. There are more than 50 rides, attractions and shows all centered around Legos. During the summer, the park features a water section called "Pirate Shores" with sixty gadgets that pour, spray and dump hundreds of gallons of water out. Perfect for that much needed cool down! The "mini land" will amaze kids as they stare at miniature replicas of famous monuments, structures and even people, all made entirely out of Legos.

San Diego Wild Animal Park

Take your kids on a true adventure into the wild at the San Diego Wild Animal Park, where you can voyage around the 1,800-acre park in an off-road vehicle. See lions, elephants, zebras and more all in their natural environments. The park has special exhibits that rotate in and out all the time, and a couple times a year offers an overnight sleepover in the park to give kids the true feeling of sleeping out in the wild. It's a one-of-a-kind experience they will remember forever.
