Located in the center of the Atlantic City boardwalk, Caesars offers moderately priced
hotel rooms in the middle of the town's action. The rooms are sizable, quiet and clean. The hotel's casino is easily accessed, and the table minimums are lower than some of the neighboring spots. Rates range from $119 to $350. The casino boasts and ancient Roman motif, but the hotel rooms aren't decorated with this theme. It's not the most stylish hotel, but it's one of the best bets in town if you're looking for comfort and a central location.
Wows and Woes
During the summer, the hotel hosts a beach bar across the boardwalk. Check with the concierge--they might be able to score you a free drink ticket if you're staying in the hotel.
While the hotel is a solid choice, many of the town's younger visitors stay at the Chelsea or the Borgata. If you're looking for a young party scene, you'll have to hop to one of these other spots.
Insider Tips
Like most casinos on the boardwalk, the Caesars weeknight rates are much cheaper than their Friday and Saturday night fares. Book your stay from Tuesday to Thursday and have more money to gamble.
The elevators to the rooms are close to the waitress station on the casino floor. Sit at the slots, snag a free drink from a floor server and bring it back up to your room for a nightcap.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
After a long summer night on the town, I enjoyed a nightcap at the hotel's Toga bar. It's in the middle of the casino floor, which made stopping for some late night gambling a must. And, no, patrons weren't wearing togas.
Bottom Line
It's not the trendiest spot in town, but it's a clean and comfortable spot for a stay.
