The Best Weather in the U.S.
If you want the sun to shine every day of your vacation this year, with seriously low humidity and no rain, one of these cities could be the destination you've been looking for. Plan to visit between October and May, because the high temperatures can top 100 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer.
Yuma, Arizona
In Yuma, you will find the most sunshine of anywhere in the U.S. It rains only 17 days in an average year. When you book a trip to Yuma, you can feel confident that rain won't spoil your day at Desert Hills Golf Course.
Las Vegas, Nevada
You won't need your umbrella when you walk up the Las Vegas strip to dine at Alex. The sun shines in Las Vegas over 85 percent of the time. It only rains 26 days of the year, for a total rainfall of four inches.
Phoenix, Arizona
Spring training for the Oakland A's will not be called on account of rain. Phoenix is as sunny as Las Vegas and the humidity is even lower. The chance of rain on your vacation day is just 10 percent.
Albuquerque, New Mexico
The annual range of temperatures is larger in Albuquerque, but your chances of a cloudless, dry day are excellent. Spend an afternoon hiking to the top of Cedro Peak to enjoy the weather.
Winslow, Arizona
In Winslow, it rains only eight inches per year. Only six U.S. cities have lower humidity. On a clear day, you can "take it easy" on the corner in Winslow, Arizona where Jackson Browne and Glenn Frey of The Eagles wrote one on their most famous songs.
