The Best Vacation in Hawaii
Hawaii's main island, also known as the Big Island of Hawaii, is one of the world's premier
beach and adventure destinations, presenting the visitor with opportunities for fantastic
vacations of every description. Visit an erupting volcano, white sand
beaches and dramatic waterfalls, all on the same day. No matter what your interests are--from the beaches to the mountains, from the rain forests to the coral reefs--you will always find Hawaii to be full of inspiring
vacation ideas.
Sunset
"Pau hana," or sunset hour, is a time of day when most people in Hawaii stop working and take a moment wherever they are to take in the sunset. A favorite place to watch the sunset with a tropical cocktail is the venerable Kona Inn, a tradition in Hawaii with residents and visitors alike.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
One of the most visited parks in the nation, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park offers dramatic and fascinating sights, sounds and smells at every turn. Explore the Halemaumau Crater (access may be restricted due to eruptive conditions) at the 4,000-foot summit, or visit the rift zone eruption, accessible from outside the park at the east end. The park is full of historic buildings such as the Volcano House at the edge of the crater, made famous by Mark Twain.

Hapuna Beach State Park
Regularly voted one of the top 10 beaches in Hawaii, Hapuna Beach State Park easily lives up to its billing. Its crescent-shaped beach with sugar-white sand is a favorite destination for visitors as well as residents, and the summit of Mauna Kea is visible in the background. Hapuna Beach is one of the best-loved, most picturesque, most photographed beaches in the world. Enjoy sun bathing, picnics, boogie boarding or snorkeling here.
