romantic restaurants that are off the beaten path.
Shaun's
Shaun's is tucked away near Inman Park, and the windows of the building open up to the neighborhood. Shaun Doty, the chef-owner, uses fresh, local ingredients to put a Southern spin on many classics from different cuisines. The menu rotates daily, but look for gems like the Carolina shrimp and grits or the Georgia trout almandine. The wine list is not long, but you can find something appropriate to accompany your meal. Renowned for its seasonal and organic menu, Bacchanalia uses many ingredients that come straight off the farm of chef/owners Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison. The four-course prix-fixe menu changes constantly, but it's consistently strong, featuring dishes like a mortadella-stuffed quail served with a Swiss chard consomme.
