The Best Lake Tahoe Hotels
Tahoe is full of hotels that can make your stay feel even more luxurious, peaceful and relaxing than the great outdoors does. However, there are a few hotels that go above and beyond the standard hospitality fare. They offer superior restaurants, accommodations and services, such as indoor pools and fire pits complete with s'mores kits, that just can't be found anywhere. Simply decide whether you'd like to stay in California or Nevada, and whether you want to explore Tahoe's South or North Shore and you'll be on your way to rest and relaxation in no time.
Harrah's
Harrah's is one of the largest resorts on either the Nevada or California sides of Lake Tahoe. Located just feet from the state line along Highway 50, Harrah's contains more than 500 guest rooms and numerous entertainment, dining and gaming options. It contains the only food court along this strip of casinos, and also boasts a fabulous buffet and 24-hour cafe. Harrah's is also child-friendly. It contains the largest arcade area, which contains a Family Fun Center, in the region, and also one of Tahoe's only indoor swimming pools. This is an important feature, as most other area pools close when it's not summer.

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino
North Shore visitors will love the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe. It's much quieter than rowdy Highway 50, and contains equally as beautiful views. The Hyatt provides numerous activities and equipment for its guests, including private boat cruises, a fitness center, private beach with water crafts, pool and casino. It also contains an outdoor fire pit where guests can sip an adult or virgin hot chocolate or make s'mores from a kit provided by the Hyatt. The hotel also hosts events on its floating pier from time to time. Guests can stay in either one of the hotels 422 rooms or in a lakeside cottage.

Marriott's Timber Lodge
Marriott's Timber Lodge has a prime Lake Tahoe location. It resides along Highway 50, nestled in between Nevada's casinos and one of California's most famous ski resorts, Heavenly Mountain Resort. Guests of the Timber Lodge treasure its convenience. Not only is it walking distance to numerous nearby attractions, but it also features food delivery from nearby restaurants, on-site laundry services and business center. Just outside the Timber Lodge's front doors is the Heavenly gondola ride, movie theater, ice skating rink (in the winter), mini golf course (in the summer), wine tasting room and ski slopes. Guest accommodations are very spacious, with some containing fireplaces, multiple bedrooms and a full kitchen.
