Lake Tahoe is a lake in California and Nevada. But the moniker is also used to refer to a community of cities and towns surrounding the body of water. The Lake Tahoe area is comprised of destinations such as South Lake Tahoe, Truckee and Tahoe City. The area offers a number of high-quality lodging options to its visitors, whether they choose to stay in California or Nevada.

MONTBLEU resort Casino & Spa is located on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe, and offers a number of amenities to its guests. On-site features include an indoor swimming pool, full-service spa, six shops, five restaurants, six bars, and a casino with both table games and slot machines. MONTBLEU Resort Casino & Spa has 437 rooms and suites, most with lake or mountain views. Rooms come with oversized bathtubs, a signature MONTBLEU bed, and wireless Internet access is available for an additional fee. As of July 2009, room rates started at about $110 per night. Suite prices ranged from about $375 to $1,000 per night.

The Ritz-Carlton Highlands
The Ritz-Carlton Highlands is located on the California side of Lake Tahoe. It is a member of an international luxury hotel chain. The hotel opened in 2009, and is in the Northstar-at-Tahoe ski resort. Rooms include 400-thread count linens, fireplaces, a mini-bar and luxury toiletries. On-site amenities include 24-hour room service, around-the-clock concierge service, business center, restaurant, and a 17,000 square foot spa and fitness center. As of July 2009, room rates started at about $350 per night. Suite prices ranged from about $550 to $4,000 per night.

Harrah's Lake Tahoe
Harrah's Lake Tahoe is located in Nevada. It offers a variety of services and experiences for visitors to the area. The hotel's casino offers table games, slot machines, video poker and Keno. Harrah's Lake Tahoe has a full-service spa as well as a beauty salon. Other amenities include six restaurants serving everything from casual American fare to fine Japanese cuisine and seafood. There is also a variety of live entertainment offered at the hotel, including performers such as Gregg Allman and Blues Traveler. Harrah's Lake Tahoe also has a pool. As of July 2009, room rates started at about $80 per night.
