The Sedona area of Arizona offers visitors a variety of outdoor activities. The canyons are perfect for horseback riding, mountain biking and hot-air balloon rides. Tours of Red Rock, the canyons and Native American ruins are available. The many golf courses have wonderful natural views. Sedona has a number of top
resorts, but the four and a half star L'Auberge de Sedona is the highest ranking. The
resort is in a secluded location and yet just a half a mile away from the Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village and a quarter mile from Sedona for shopping and adventures. The resort has landscaped grounds with a creek, waterfall, a variety of trees, lawn swings and arbors. The resort has won awards from "Conde Nast Traveler" and "Travel + Leisure 500."
Suites
The L'Auberge de Sedona has cottages and lodge rooms for their guest suites. The cottages overlook a creek or are tucked into the gardens, which make for beautiful views off the porch. The lodge is two-stories and done in the European-style. Lodge suites have private balconies or patios with views of the garden, resort, or Red Rock. The decor is European style with scroll-edge headboards, beamed ceiling, wood furniture and art reproductions by Matisse and Monet. The bed features down comforters and plump pillows. The turndown service includes chocolates and a fresh flower. There is an in-room safe. The flat panel TV has its own armoire and has premium cable channels. There is a minibar, complimentary bottled water and a coffeemaker in the room.
Dining
The L'Auberge Restaurant serves American cuisine with a French flare. There is over 1,000 wines on the wine list. Nightly tasting menus have five, seven, or ten courses. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The adjoining lounge has a fireplace. Some tables have a view of the creek. For a better view of Oak Creek, the restaurant has terrace seating with umbrella tables and a view of a waterfall. The terrace serves a bistro fare. On Sunday the hotel hosts an artisan brunch where guests can watch a local artist at work. Room service is available during limited hours.
Amenities
This resort offers guests complimentary fly-fishing demonstrations on Oak Creek once a week. Pilates and yoga classes are available for guests. A sundeck surrounds the heated outdoor swimming pool.
