Atmosphere and Setting
This classic French restaurant was built in a 150-year-old farm house in Cherry Hill, and the intimate dining rooms, hardwood floors and beautiful fireplace show its historical nature. La Campagne offers four dining rooms, serving dinner until 10 p.m. on weekends, 9 p.m. on weekdays and 8:30 p.m on Sundays. This cozy little slice of heaven is closed on Mondays. But whenever else you're looking for a romantic night out, La Campagne's intimate setting is the perfect option.
Chef and Food
La Campagne has been serving tasty French cuisine for over 18 years. In 2007 their new chef, Richard Benussi, began infusing traditional French and Northern Italian preparation methods to create the continental cuisine that the restaurant is known for today.
All food is prepared with the freshest ingredients possible. Sauces, soups, breads and ice creams are all homemade and produce and meats come from local New Jersey farms. You'll find delicious dishes like grilled swordfish and Veal Bolognese Pappardelle on the entrees menu. And the appetizers, salads and cheeses will make your experience that much better.
Cooking Classes
When eating delicious food isn't enough, go behind the scenes and learn the secrets of creating your own masterpieces. The cooking school at La Campagne has been going on for 15 years and takes place in its upstairs cooking classroom. The fee for each class is $45 and classes usually run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Everybody from beginners to advanced chefs can learn tips in a wide variety of classes like: Recipes from the La Campagne Kitchen, Tuscan favorites, foods of France--Normandy, Cajun and Creole, Spanish Tapas and Great on the grill.
