Smugglers' Notch Resort
Smugglers' Notch resort is a Vermont family ski resort located in the Green Mountains. This ski resort is great for families due to its many fun, interesting children's programs (for children between the ages of six weeks and 17 years old) and recreational activities for adults. This ski resort has more than 1000 acres of terrain and over 750 acres of woods between the trails. The resort is composed of three connected mountains, which are Sterling, Madonna and Morse.

Suicide Six
Suicide Six (located at the Woodstock Inn and Resort) is a family-friendly ski resort that is located in the Green Mountains. It is a moderately sized family resort that caters to all different levels of ability, with twenty-three different trails, including the legendary Face, which is suitable only for advanced skiers and experts. It is an excellent ski resort for beginners, intermediates and experts. They offer equipment rental, a cafeteria, lounge, repair shop and store, as well.

Ascutney Mountain Resort
Ascutney Mountain Resort is one of southern Vermont's most popular family ski resorts. It is excellent for families due to the fact that all of its ski trails merge together at the base section, making getting lost rather difficult. There are many trails on this mountain, varying from the mild Little Eagle slope to the daring Freefall and aggressive Snowdance. This ski resort is a mere two hour drive from Boston, Massachusetts, and is four hours away from New York City, making it very convenient for a lot of people to visit.

Cochran Ski Area
Cochran Ski Area has been in existence since 1961, and is a wonderful ski resort for families, particularly children (it started out as a skiing area to serve the youth). Now, it has a reputation as a challenging but fun ski resort that has expanded slopes and lifts. The Cochran Ski Area has the distinction of being the United States' first non-profit skiing organization. The atmosphere at this ski resort is friendly, vibrant and youthful.

Okemo Mountain Resort
Okemo Mountain Resort is a charming, warm, family-friendly ski resort located in southern Vermont. It is known for having some of the highest vertical drops in the region. This ski resort caters to skiers of all different degrees of ability, from children to experts. There are various terrain parks located around the mountain, and there is a Mini Park that is full of small hills that are great for children and beginners taking lessons.
