Belleair beach, Florida is a city of 1,751 perched between the Gulf of Mexico and Clearwater Harbor. Visitors to nearby Clearwater and Tampa can take day trips across Causeway Boulevard to Belleair Beach to enjoy the sun away from busy city streets. The white-sand shores of Belleair Beach provide plentiful opportunities for tourists to fish, barbecue and play sports year round.
Heritage Village

Visitors to Belleair Beach can reach Largo's Heritage Village by heading east on the Causeway Boulevard. Pinellas County officials have maintained this 21-acre village in its original 19th century condition to show Florida's rich history to tourists. The village has 28 buildings including a handful of cabins, a school and a railroad depot open to the public. Heritage Village does not charge admission for individual entry but requires $2 per person for its 60-minute guided tours.

Belleview Biltmore Resort

The Belleview Biltmore resort is a hotel, resort and spa that opened in 1897. The 820,000 square foot facility is registered in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Tourists who need to get out on the links can reserve tee times early for the resort's 18-hole, par-71 professional golf course. The resort also has clay tennis courts, Spanish sculptures and other luxury touches to keep some of the Old World close to Belleair Beach.

Sand Key Park

Sand Key Park is a county park only minutes away from Belleair Beach that has been operating since 1984. The Pinellas County Parks and Recreation Department' website claims that the park hosts more than one million tourists each year. Visitors can enjoy cookouts and picnics in the park's abundant green spaces before heading to the Sand Key Park play area. Sand Key Park has a cabana, dock area and bath houses to accommodate boating and swimming.

Belleair Beach

The jewel of Belleair Beach is the city's 4,500 feet of pristine beachfront open to the general public. The city of Belleair Beach does not allow vendors, restaurants and other businesses on the beach to keep the waterfront relatively untouched. The Municipal Marina and the 7th Street Park Boat Ramp allow boaters to arrive and depart easily from Belleair Beach. Travelers just trying to get some sun and view undisturbed coastline do not need to worry about paying for access to Belleair Beach.
