Bellagio Fountains
The Bellagio is a hotel and casino located on the
Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. Created by Steve Wynn and designed by Jon Jerde, the Bellagio was built in 1998 by Mirage
resorts Inc. This hotel is reminiscent of the Bellagio
resort in Lake Como, Italy, so it holds several Italian-inspired designs and themes throughout. This hotel offers contemporary room designs that are suitable for most tastes. Rooms are spacious and many offer great views of the Strip.
Features
Ceiling at the Bellagio
The Bellagio is a 3,933-room luxury hotel that is full of amenities. The property holds awards such as the AAA Five Diamond award. This hotel is one of the upper end luxury retreats in Las Vegas. It offers rooms, suites, villas and executive suite lounges. It uses fine delicate materials and fabrics to grace each room with perfection. Upon arrival to the Bellagio, guests will be attracted to the mere stamina and stateliness that this hotel gives off. Designed to replicate an old world Italian cityscape, the Bellagio towers over its shops and restaurants and the lake below. Lake in Las Vegas? This man-made lake is made up of a widespread eight acres that separates the hotel and facilities from the Strip. The Bellagio is also noted for its water fountain display called Fountains of Bellagio. This is a large-scale dancing water fountain set and synchronized to the beat of music. This display lights up at night and highlights the hotel from the Strip and also offers privacy for guests facing the lake. One intriguing part of the hotel is the lobby. Here, famed designer Dale Chihuly created more than 2,000 colored, hand-blown flowers made from glass. The color and intricacy of this display is worth the look. The display hangs from the lobby ceiling and catches the eyes of guests and passers-by alike. The casino has more than 2,400 slots and video poker games. It also has a poker room and table games available. The Bellagio is home to Cirque De Soleil's "O"---an award-winning acrobatic display that mixes aquatics with dance.
Pros and Cons
Slot Machine
The pros of the Bellagio are the breathtaking grounds and hotel. There is so much to see and do just by walking through and outside the hotel. The lobby with its breathtaking art and the casino with its updated Italian contemporary theme offer views to be cherished. The fountains offer a nightly array of music, water display and lights that are one of a kind to the Strip. The botanical garden on the grounds also allows guests to see prize-winning roses and sculpted greens that beg to be touched and smelled. The pool and courtyards take guests away to modern-day Italy, where they can bask in the Vegas sun poolside while sipping their favorite drink. The Bellagio also has a gallery of fine art on display for guests to relish.
The con is that this hotel can be quite pricey. Many guests are disappointed if they are facing the Strip and faced with the fountains that are almost constantly on display. While the Bellagio doesn't skimp on some of the finest dining in the area, such as the Jean-Philippe and Olives restaurants, they can put a huge dent in the pocket books. Most meals start around $45 per person.
Bottom Line
The bottom line is that his hotel has it going on when it comes to charming sophistication and exceptional good looks. The hotel is a playground within itself, as it has everything to make a good vacation all that more perfect. This hotel is perfect for those who feel money isn't an option or those who want to splurge a little and live the high life for a few days. The Bellagio offers better than excellent service to every guest who walks through the entryway. For a piece of the finer part of Italy, the Bellagio is the perfect choice.
