Bar Harbor Maine Information
Bar Harbor, Maine attracts visitors throughout New England looking for seclusion and quiet during the summer. This eastern Maine community features green spaces, restaurants and tours to keep tourists busy from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Acadia National Park
Bar Harbor is sandwiched between Acadia National Park and the Atlantic Ocean. Bar Harbor visitors are minutes from Acadia's campgrounds, nature exhibits and oceanfront lookouts.
Acadia Air Tours
Acadia Air Tours offers biplane and glider tours of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park in the summer. These tours examine Mount Desert Island's beaches, lighthouses and mountains.
The Kedge
The Kedge is an 1870 vacation home now serving as a museum of Maine history. Visitors view Victorian fixtures and furnishings before enjoying drinks during The Kedge's daily tours.
Atlantic Brewing Company
The Atlantic Brewing Company offers free tours of its facilities three times per day during the summer. The brewery produces five varieties including Bar Harbor Real Ale and Coal Porter.
The Parkside on the Green
The Parkside on the Green turns freshly caught lobsters, crabs and haddock into delicious meals every night. This restaurant serves beers from Atlantic Brewing Company as well as blueberry martinis.
