Wows and Woes
Bahama Bay Resort is great for the whole family. The kids will love the on-site game room and family-friendly pools. Adults will love the sandy beach as well as the full-service spa.
The resort does not provide Wi-Fi access in the private villas. If you want to use your laptop, you have to go to the property's clubhouse. If you do not have a laptop but need Internet access, be prepared to pay. The resort charges $10 an hour to use one of its computers.
Insider Tips
In addition to a $200 security deposit, the resort also charges a $60 cleaning fee per room at check-in. There is no mention of this until you are at the front desk checking in, so be prepared for the sudden request for more money.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
I will never forget lounging at the resort's man-made beach by Lake Davenport. I did not expect to find a beach so close to Orlando, but Bahama Bay managed to deliver. The white sand and cool breezes were enough to make me feel like I was in paradise. I enjoyed the whole experience of staying at this property, but relaxing on its beach was by far the best part of my vacation.
Bottom Line
The rates at Bahama Bay Resort are reasonable, and the property has everything needed for a carefree family vacation.
