If you are looking for a place where you can reconnect with nature, play a round or two of golf and enjoy some time on the water, Paris, Tennessee, is an excellent vacation destination. This charming town is far from the noise and crowds common in a more touristy destination, and offers a variety of natural attractions and community events for guests to enjoy, including its own scale model of the Eiffel Tower in Memorial Park.
World's Biggest Fish Fry
If you happen to visit Paris in the last week of April, you will want to participate in the "World's Biggest Fish Fry." This huge festival includes a midway complete with games and rides, parades, a rodeo, five beauty pageants and, of course, fried catfish. A highlight of a visit to the Fish Fry is the yearly catfish races, something few festivals have.
Paris Landing State Park
Paris Landing State Park is an 841-acre park on the shores of Kentucky Lake. Here visitors can fish, swim, boat or water ski. The park has a golf course, hiking trails and campsites for guests to enjoy. It is full of wildlife, and guests regularly spot deer, foxes, coyotes and turkeys in the park.

Land Between the Lakes
The Land Between the Lakes is a natural preserve just 30 minutes east of Paris, Tennessee. Situated between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley, this natural recreation area offers miles of hiking through backcountry, boating and fishing opportunities, campgrounds and plenty of wildlife. It also has a planetarium to inspire young astronomers.

Paris Winery
The Paris Winery offers free tasting in a setting that is reminiscent of a farm in Tuscany. The winery has its own vineyard, where the owners grow the grapes they use to make 13 signature types of wine. The Venetian architecture makes a trip to the winery as visually pleasing as it is tasteful.

Kentucky Lake
Kentucky Lake is the largest body of water between the Great Lakes and the Gulf of Mexico. This man-made lake has more than 2,000 miles of shoreline and is famous for its crappie and bass fishing. Several fishing tournaments are held on its waters each year, and amateur fishermen enjoy excellent catches. Boat rental and bait stores are scattered along the shoreline.
