While Atlantic City is often associated with its monstrous
resorts and Vegas-style gaming, it is also a destination for
beach-goers, with miles of Atlantic Ocean, Broadway-caliber shows, shopping and high-quality restaurants. With nearly every casino and
resort on the boardwalk offering restaurant choices, there is no shortage of eateries. From casual pub-style taverns to ethnic specialties, Atlantic City has something for nearly every traveler's tastebuds.
Dock's Oyster House

Steak enthusiasts may opt for filet mignon, New York strip steak, rack of lamb or a combination of the two with the beef and reef, filet mignon and lobster tail. Hungry travelers may wish to start with an appetizer such as clams casino, oysters Rockefeller or fried calamari, or for travelers in groups, the chilled shellfish sampler for two or four. Tun Tavern
After a day of high rolling (or beach strolling), visit the Tun Tavern for casual pub-style beer and food. Tun Tavern is open seven days a week for lunch, dinner and late-night drinks/snacks. It's the only brewery in Atlantic City so make sure to try one of their specialty beers. Entrees on the menu include mushroom ravioli, pasta primavera, boardwalk crab cakes, teriyaki chicken and filet mignon. Burgers, sandwiches and salads are available. Appetizers such as shrimp cocktail, calamari and chicken tenders, and desserts including warm apple cobbler, root beer float and peanut butter brownie cake round out the menu. Vegetarian travelers will be pleased to know that the chefs are happy to turn any dish (where possible) into a meat-free entree by request. Sample some of the Tun Tavern's signature creations, ranging from fruity beer to the thickest lagers. The tavern also has nightly specials, such as two-for-one dinner entrees on Mondays and live music Fridays and Saturdays.
