Atlantic City is a popular gambling destination in New Jersey, located on the Jersey shore. Though Atlantic City is also famous for its outdoor activities, such as the boardwalk and the
beach, it provides much indoor fun for visitors in December, shielding them from the considerably lower temperature.
Atlantic City Aquarium
The Atlantic City Aquarium is a great tourist attraction for adults and children alike. There are 18 tanks at this aquarium. One tank contains 250,000 gallons of water and features aquatic life native to the New Jersey and mid-Atlantic regions. If you want to check out exotic animals, the Tropical Rainforest is an excellent exhibition to stroll through. If you want to get hands-on contact with creatures such as stingrays and shovel-nose sharks, you will love this vibrant aquarium.

Atlantic City Historical Museum
The Atlantic City Historical Museum is a great center to visit if you want to learn more about the rich history and heritage of the Atlantic City and Jersey shore areas. The museum contains local relics and artifacts, old photographs, and video presentations. Two great things about this museum are its free parking and admission.

Playcade Amusements
Playcade Amusements is Atlantic City's oldest arcade, and it is highly adored by locals. The entire family (especially children) will have a blast at this entertainment center, which has a massive array of prizes. From Pacman to lesser-known games such as Turtles in Time, Playcade Amusements has a diverse range of entertainment. There are slot machines at this arcade, too, in true Atlantic City style.

Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum
Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum is on the Atlantic City boardwalk but is open all year round. There are 13 galleries at this kooky and unusual museum, all with themes. There are more than 400 displays. From exhibits about zombies to strange valentines, you will see the unexpected at Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum.

Dante Hall Theater of the Arts
The Dante Hall Theater of the Arts is located centrally in the "Ducktown" section of Atlantic City, which is a popular culture center in New Jersey (it is home to a large Italian and Italian-American population). In existence since 1926, this performing arts theater presents a vast array of programs and seats approximately 250 individuals. If you want to culturally enrich yourself in Atlantic City, the Dante Hall Theater of the Arts is a terrific place to visit, and a great way to be indoors for a few hours during the chills of frigid December weather.
