Arkansas Destination Wedding
Arkansas is the "Natural State," and it's easy to see why. Both Eureka Springs and Hot Springs, two of the state's premier wedding destinations, are built among the rolling hills and picturesque lakes of the surrounding terrain. This makes Arkansas the perfect place to see the great outdoors or experience some of the state's history while still pampering yourself or your wedding guests at an upscale hotel or bed and breakfast.
The Crescent Hotel

Located in historic Eureka Springs, the Crescent Hotel has the distinction of being one of the most haunted hotels in America, a claim that was confirmed by the television show "Ghost Hunters." The hotel features Victorian Gothic architecture, a spa, dining in both Dr. Baker's Lounge and the Crystal Dining room and several wedding packages. Local attractions include the famous Thornecrown Chapel and shopping in Eureka springs. The Crescent Hotel can be reached on the Internet at www.crescent-hotel.com/ or by calling 1-800-342-9766.

Historic Hot Springs

Hot Springs Park, the first federally protected area in the United States, is located in downtown Hot Springs. Early entrepreneurs took advantage of the naturally occurring hot springs to construct spas, bathhouses and hotels that drew tourists. The most prominent hotel in Hot Springs is the Arlington Hotel, in downtown Hot Springs inside the park. Just to the south of he Arlington is "bathhouse row," a collection of European-inspired bathhouses that were built over the natural mineral springs of the park. Nearby amenities include shopping, restaurants, horse racing and an amusement park. You can reach the Arlington on the Internet at www.arlingtonhotel.com/ or by calling 1-800-643-1502.

The Peabody Hotel

Just block from the Clinton Presidential Library and the Old State House Museum in Little Rock, Arkansas, is the Peabody Hotel. This is the third hotel in a chain famous for live ducks that swim in an atrium fountain during the day and for a private elevator ride up to exclusive suites at night. Nearby attractions include the Arkansas Arts Center, the Riverfront Park and the River Market District. You can reach the Peabody Little Rock on the Web at www.peabodylittlerock.com/ or by calling 1-501-906-4000.
