Atlantic City Historical Museum
The Atlantic City Historical Museum illustrates the history of the city--essentially its transformation from being a relaxing beach resort town to a glitzy gambling paradise. There are various exhibits on display at this museum, including relics, costumes, postcards, song sheets, and a lot of Miss America artifacts (the pageant takes place in Atlantic City every year). Be sure to check out the Al Gold photography gallery, which has changing photography displays.

Ripley's Believe it or Not! Museum
Ripley's Believe it or Not! Museum is a quirky place that is located inside of a building that looks like it's about to be destroyed by a massive wrecking ball. The museum displays wild and wacky oddities, like authentic shrunken human heads and torture devices that were used back in the medieval era. If you are fascinated by everything weird, creepy and sometimes even disturbing, you should visit this museum while in the Atlantic City area.

Storybook Land
Storybook Land is in Egg Harbor City, which is in the Atlantic City area. This is a charming and whimsical place that is a great tourist attraction for children. In existence since 1955, Storybook Land is an amusement park that uses classic children's books as a theme. There are many rides and attractions that are based around famous tales. Some notable rides include Jumping Jumbos, Turtle Twirl, Happy Dragon, the Carousel, Tea Time and many others.

Gardner's Village
Gardner's Village is a waterfront park. This maritime village has a lot of interesting attractions, such as historic vessels (like the Tempo II that belonged to musician Guy Lombardo). Other notable features of Gardner's Village include the Steel Pier diving bell, the Fisherman's museum and the sundial. There are cruises available at Gardner's Village, as well as fishing options.

Atlantic City Convention Center
The Atlantic City Convention Center spans approximately half a million feet of exhibition area. The convention center is directly attached to the Sheraton Atlantic City Hotel. This convention center is very close to the bustling Boardwalk area. Be sure to check out the mesmerizing skylit atrium lobby (ninety feet high) with its many artworks on display, including sculptures.
