Colony West Country Club

The Colony West Country Club offers two courses for members of the public willing to pay premium green fees. The Glades Course is a par-63 18-hole course that spans 4,197 yards. The more challenging Champ Course covers 7,312 yards with a par score of 71 through 18 holes. The club's Pro Shop offers clubs, balls, shirts and accessories from major brands. Visitors can order drinks, appetizers and entrees from the Sand Trap Restaurant after hours spent in the South Florida heat.

The Kitehouse

The Kitehouse is a popular kite surfing shop and school only minutes from Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. Beginners can take two- and five-day lessons on board balance, equipment maintenance and ocean awareness with the Gettin Schooled package from the Kitehouse. The Summer Schooled lesson plan is designed for intermediate kite surfers looking to refine their kiting and steering skills. The school's Going Mental lesson teaches advanced kite surfers to perform flips, heel-turn jibes and board grabs before hitting the ocean unsupervised.

Culture Room

The Culture Room is an indie rock venue located in a strip mall in Fort Lauderdale. The club schedules local and national music acts every weekend along with occasional shows at the beginning of the week.
