Reciprocity Fee
There is an reciprocity fee of $131 (U,S, currency) that must be paid upon arrival or entrance to Chile. Cash and credit payments are accepted.
Visa Exemptions
U.S. citizens traveling to Chile for business or tourism do not need a visa for travel up to 90 days. A visa is required beyond 90 days.
Other countries that are exempt from the visa: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, South Africa, Spain Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ucrania, United Kingdom, Uruguay and Venezuela.
Obtaining a Visa
Citizens from countries not listed above and those with travel plans longer than 90 days must apply in person for a visa at the consulate office nearest their home. Fees vary based on the country of citizenship.
