Review of the Park Hyatt Hotel in Dubai

The Park Hyatt Hotel is a sprawling low-rise hotel outside the city center in Dubai. The lush, landscaped gardens and sparkling pool create an oasis-like atmosphere and the spacious suites have exceptionally comfortable beds and a soothing elegant decor. Balconies overlook the creek that runs through the city, the marina and an adjacent golf club. The large bathrooms are equipped with oversized tubs and separate rainfall showers. The privacy and luxurious amenities make this hotel a favorite with pro golfers and celebrities.
Wows and Woes

The hotel is adjacent to the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, which is considered one of the world's "Top 100 Must-Play Golf Courses." by "Golf World" magazine.

The hotel is a little isolated, about 30 minutes from the city center and even getting to the front gate is quite a hike. Cars provided by the hotel can be costly. Call for a taxi to save money, but be prepared to wait.

Insider Tips

The hotel can arrange for guests to use the facilities at one of the beach resorts for a fee, but it is much cheaper to take a taxi to the public beaches.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

The low-rise design of the hotel is charming and a welcome respite from the super-modern, extra-tall skyscrapers that Dubai specializes in. But it makes for long walks between the room and restaurants and other facilities because everything is so spread out. We also got lost nearly every day on our way to the breakfast room.

Bottom Line

Not quite in-town or on the beach, this is a luxurious off-the-beaten track choice for staying in Dubai.
