Jumeirah
beach Hotel is a five-star
resort in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It has been voted the best resort hotel in the world eight years in a row by readers of the British edition of "Business Traveller" magazine.
Rooms and Suites
The hotel has 598 rooms and suites, plus 19 villas. As of August 2009, rates ranged from $463 per night for a room with one king or two twin beds to $2,200 per night for a three-bedroom suite with more than 2,300 square feet.
Resort Activities
Jumeirah Beach Hotel has a wide range of activities available, including swimming, tennis, water sports, boat charters, Segway tours, a climbing wall, a spa and a health club. Some activities carry an extra charge, but all guests have free access to an adjacent water park.
For Families
The resort has a free kids club for ages 2 to 12, offering supervised activities from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Babysitting services are available at an extra charge. Several on-site restaurants offer children's menus.
Dining and Nightlife
More than 20 restaurants, bars and cafes at the resort offer a range of cuisines from around the world. DJs keep things hopping at the Apartment Lounge, and you can grab an elegant cocktail at the Uptown Bar.
Architecture
The hotel's striking facade is in the shape of a breaking wave, its curves built with blue glass and aluminum. It is 902 feet long and 305 feet high.
