Crowne Plaza Farwaniya, Kuwait is a luxurious 300-room hotel located 2 miles from Kuwait International Airport. The hotel includes eight restaurants that serve international cuisine. Crowne Plaza offers a luxury spa, a beautiful pool and a state-of-the-art fitness facility. Meeting rooms and a business center are also available. A free Internet connection is found in all guest rooms and all public areas.
Wows and Woes
The Ribeye Steak house serves excellent bleu cheese steak. The lobby is huge with plenty of plush comfortable chairs. The rooms are decorated in understated luxury with fresh flowers daily. Definitely try the shisha and coffee at the Ayam Zaman restaurant.
When entering the hotel, you have to go through security; it can be tedious and annoying.
Insider Tips
Use the valet parking. It is much easier to pay the minimal fee than search for a parking spot since the hotel is consistently busy and parking availability is horrible.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
We were dining in the Ribeye Steakhouse and we heard loud clapping and shouting. We were curious so we went out into the lobby and there were men all lined up along both staircases leading down into the lobby and outside the ballroom. They were all dressed up, standing outside celebrating while the women were all inside celebrating the wedding. It was fun witnessing their excitement and the festive environment that the hotel conjured.
Bottom Line
The Crowne Plaza offers a traveler could ask for but it comes with a hefty price tag. I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance.
