Location

The Burj Al Arab juts out of a man-made island off Jumeirah beach strip, 10 miles from downtown Dubai and about 15 miles from Dubai International Airport.

Background

The Burj Al Arab, designed by Tom Wright in 1993, opened its doors for business at the end of 1999. It is among the largest hotel buildings in the world.

Suites

This luxury establishment offers 202 suites: deluxe, panoramic, club, diplomatic, presidential, and royal suites, each successively larger and more luxurious. All come with private business centers, rain showers and a minimum of six phones.

Dining

The Burj Al Arab boasts the finest of seafood at award-winning Al Mahara, elegant Arabic cuisine at the Al Iwan Royal Dining Hall, as well as ocean views and European food at Al Muntaha. The hotel also offers "Culinary Flights" whisking you to several dining halls.

Checking In

Guests are picked up by a member of the hotel's Rolls Royce fleet or welcomed on the 28th floor helipad. Staffed by the world's best butlers, reception desks are on every floor.

Andy has attended schools all over the world but is now on the leg last of her Bachelors Degree at Brigham Young University through Independent Study while living in China.
