Cabo San Lucas is an extremely popular
beach resort town on
Mexico's Baja peninsula. With a warm and sunny climate, Cabo San Lucas welcomes hordes of tourists from all over the world every year. From relaxing on the beach to golfing, horseback riding and even nightlife, there is no shortage of things to do and see in this former Mexican fishing village.
Water Sports
If you like water recreation, Cabo San Lucas is the ideal destination for you. If you are interested in activities like para sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming, surfing, sea kayaking, whale watching and wind surfing this just might be your place. With locations like Santa Maria Bay, Land's End and Pez Gato, you have the perfect backdrop to many different types of adventurous water sports.
Golfing
Cabo San Lucas is Mexico's premier golf spot. There are six different world class golf courses in Cabo. Cabo del Sol, along the Sea of Cortez, is believed by many to be the most stunning championship golf course on the planet. Golfing is one of the most popular recreational activities in Cabo San Lucas (the Senior Slam Tournament of the PGA has taken place in the city since 1995). As beautiful as the golf courses in Cabo are, however, the holes can be extremely tricky and challenging.
Beaches
No vacation to Cabo San Lucas is a real vacationing without spending some time on the beach whether it's for swimming or sunbathing. Playa Medano is the area's most bustling beach. It is a good place if you want to people watch and just observe the atmosphere and ambiance of the area. If you're looking for a quieter beach with a more romantic vibe, Playa del Amor (Lover's Beach in English) is a place to consider visiting.
Nightlife
Cabo San Lucas has a very vibrant and hopping nightlife that is especially popular with tourists to the area. Some popular nightclubbing spots in Cabo San Lucas are the Giggling Marlin, Cabo Wabo, El Squid Roe and the Hard Rock Cafe. The Cabo San Lucas nightlife scene lasts very easily into the wee, early hours of the morning. Cabo San Lucas is no stranger to party animals.
