Theme colors should be bright and colorful, such as red, green and white. Purchase streamers, balloons and other party decorations that will tie the theme together. Here are some other creative ideas that will help transform a room into a fiesta.
Room Decorations
Hang colorful Mexican handmade blankets, called serapes, on the walls. Use red, white and green strings of lights all over the room. Display large sombreros that are heavily embellished with sequins and bright colors. Try hanging a large inflatable sun and Mexico City signs or a Mexican flag on the wall. Put a fiesta banner in the main room. Set the mood with music from a Mariachi band in the background. Hang clusters of balloons in red, green and white to create a festive atmosphere.
Table Decorations
Dress up your tables with red, white and green table covers. Use neon or plastic maracas that match your theme color.
