Cancun, Mexico is surrounded by water, with the Caribbean Sea on one side and Nichupte Lagoon on the other. There is a lot to see and do and beautiful beaches abound, providing some of the best scuba diving and snorkeling in the world. Cancun has also become a popular destination for weddings and honeymoons.
Location

Cancun is in Mexico, on the southeast coast. It is located in the state of Quintana Roo and is on the Yucatan Peninsula.

Weather

It is always warm in Cancun, with temperatures averaging in the 80s Fahrenheit. It can be especially rainy in the spring and fall.

Beaches

Cancun is surrounded by beaches with white, powdery sand, and the water is a clear blue in most spots. There are areas for watersports on almost all beaches, with most of the hotels on the Caribbean-side beaches.

In addition to the beaches, Cancun is known for its beautiful Mayan Ruins, like Chichen Itza, Tulum and Coba.

Considerations
