The Dreams Punta Cana
resort is an all-inclusive property just steps away from the
beach in the city of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Only about an hour from the airport, the resort offers many amenities, including a kids club for young guests, a large pool and several swim-up rooms. Dreams Punta Cana is the perfect destination for weddings, honeymoons and relaxing
vacations. Away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, Dreams allows guests to escape for the duration of their visit while dining at exciting restaurants and taking in live shows.
Wows and Woes
The resort's all-inclusive packages include domestic drinks. While most meals are included in the package, some types of alcoholic beverages such as wine must be purchased separately. This isn't heavily advertised in the "all-inclusive" brochures, so if you're not careful, you can end up with quite a bill.
Insider Tips
Rooms are located in several buildings, but not all of them offer sweeping views of the ocean. The hotel does offer wonderful amenities for those suffering a bit of cabin fever from their limited views, though, including a full-service spa on the premises, along with gift shops and convenience stores.
Most Memorable Moment
The best memory of the entire trip was watching my husband play beach volleyball with the locals. He ended up going head over heels into the ocean when a gust of wind caught the ball and he went jogging backward after it.
Bottom Line
Dreams is a beautiful resort that treats its visitors well. The locals and staff are friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make your stay a success.
